The Basics of Iyengar Yoga

The Iyengar approach to yoga is firmly based on the traditional eight limbs of yoga expounded by Patanjali in his classic treatise.The term “Iyengar Yoga” was coined by students of Master BKS. Iyengar to distinguish his approach from other styles of yoga. In this workshop students will learn the basics of Iyengar Yoga and philosophy. Basic poses, breathing and relaxation techniques will be covered.
Asana Clinic

Learn the effective usage of props for Standing, Seated, Hip opening Poses. This workshop is appropriate for all levels of students.
Yoga for Healthy Back

About H.S.Arun

A student of Guruji Sri BKS Iyengar, Smt. Geeta Iyengar & Sri Prashant Iyengar. Sri Arunji has dedicated his life to the propagation of Iyengar Yoga. He has practiced and taught yoga for more than 35 years. His continuous research into all aspects of Yoga and its relation to the mental and physical well being of man has helped him to introduce different methods of teaching Asanas. This in turn helps the students to grasp the finer aspects of the postures. His teaching is direct, simple and effective. His ever-ready humor enlivens the class. Anahata Yoga team is honored to welcome Shri H.S. Arunji for his annual workshop studio in Hong Kong to give a series of Yoga workshops on various topics, This is a unique opportunity to study with a knowledgeable teacher.
