I have really enjoyed participating in the course and have learned a great deal about my own and others practice. I particularly enjoyed the practical part of the course, and learned much about the benefits, contradictions, variations and modifications of the asanas. I also enjoyed Yogananth s and Yogeshs light-hearted approach, which is something that I would like to carry through into my own practice as a teacher. I also enjoyed the fact that Yogananth Is very appreciative about peoples different views and needs of yoga and is realistic about how one could integrate this into their daily life, without it becoming overwhelming for a complete beginner. Vishnu was also clearly very knowledgeable and has given me a great understanding of the anatomy of the body and how I can now use this to aid my practice. Overall, I am happy with my learning and my understanding of the teachings of the course. I look forward to putting my newfound knowledge into practice and developing this further.

I would highly recommended the advance training as a path for all yoga practitioners. I first joined the training hoping to deepen my practice. The training was much more then I expected. Master Yogananths thoughtful guidance pushed every trainee to seek their limits. We tried many advance posture that we all thought we could never achieved. He also shared a lot of his teaching techniques and allowed us to experience yoga through other practitioner by aiding them and working in partner postures. The whole training was fun, rich and inspirational. I was so happy that I feel more connected with myself, my practice and my teaching. The whole training helped me to open a new path in yoga, spiritually and in practice. Truly thanks to Master Yogananth and Master Mahesh for their kind and heartful guidance.

Im immensely grateful for having the chance to join Anahatas Advanced Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Level 1 and 2. Under the professional and inspiring guidance of Master Yogananth, whose in depth knowledge, clear explanations and perfect adjustments had not only enabled me to try many intense poses for the first time, but also empowered me to overcome my fear, unleashed my potentials and experienced tangible improvements. During the course, 1. I learnt a lot about my body anatomy, my strengths and limits and most importantly, on how to work on them. 2. I gained valuable knowledge on how to approach each challenging pose with specific warm up techniques and attempt different variations, the course manual will always help me in my future self- practices. 3. I was motivated to “try”, to work hard in order to see progress - I was in fact intrigued to see how my body opened up and strengthened during the “trys”, and rewarded with the joyous satisfaction of a few breakthroughs! I shall always remember Master Yogananths profound advice - that advanced practitioners are not only manifested in their yoga postures, but expressed in their mental quality and mindfulness life style. In fact, the training doesnt stop here, its only the beginning!

Advanced Hatha Yoga TTC with Anahata was a great learning experience for me. I always wanted to do Advance TTC, but was little skeptical with the term Advance, as I was never sure whether I would be able to cope up with the practice. But, Guru Yogananth made the task simple. He made our body go beyond our perceived limits effortlessly, which made me realise that it is quite possible. The TTC was very friendly, humorous and encouraging. There was a positive energy prevailing throughout the training program. Everyday some kind of miracle was happening with the members. We were able to do things which we thought were beyond our capabilities. It gave me a lot of confidence, and I also got to know about my own body strengths. By the end of the program ,I was feeling very light, flexible, strong and energetic. The program is very well designed to impart the learning methodically and step wise. Students could actually feel that how our daily practice is preparing us for the advance postures. For me, it brought a wonderful transformation I was always looking for. To me, It is a treasure for lifetime. Thank you Anahata team. I would like to continue my learning with Anahata in future.

I really enjoy this course and l was particularly impressed with the experience and depth of knowledge of the instructors. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to take this course, especially since its timing has allowed me to participate while working full time and take care of my family. Master Vishnu was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about ayurvedic theory, but this section might have been interspersed with learning approaches to break up the long lectures. His make-up class was one of the best sessions of the course - he explained a lot of anatomical knowledge that I did not previously have with diagrams while addressing those issues with yoga therapy. Master Arun was delightful and truly inspiring. His Iyengar classes gave me a very beautiful experience of yoga that I had never had before. I felt very fortunate and grateful to have studied with him. His heart is full of love for humanity. I purchased his book and I hope that once I have the opportunity to read it, that I will be able to apply his lessons to my practice and teaching. Master Yogananth is an excellent teacher – he is very skilled at interspersing the delivery of technical information with illuminating narratives and practical exercises. His delivery is natural but always directed and on topic. His knowledge and experience (and patience) is remarkable. Anahata has some truly amazing instructors. It has been a blessing to study and practice with all the teachers and I intend on taking further courses with Anahata. Thank you.

I was so happy to join the 200 hr. yoga teacher training certificate course. This course is systematically divided into 5 modules. In each module, I learned different topics and knowledge of yoga not only postures. Even though I have been practicing yoga for many years, only practicing postures and pranayama in yoga class, I found that there have many different things to learn during the course, for example: anatomy, theory, history and philosophy of yoga. In the first module, Anatomy Module, I learned the human bodys structure and its function every deeply. The seven chakras in our body and how these chakras affect our energy flowing through the body. In the second module, Yoga Intro Module, I learned the history, origin, philosophy, types, literature, lineages and traditions of yoga. And deepen the knowledge of meditation, yoga nidra and mantra chanting. In the third module, Asana Module, the most interesting part I thought, I learned more about asana even I know how to do the posture before. Master Yogananth taught each asana in details and taught us how to observe peoples anatomy so that we can give different adjustment and alignment to different people. Moreover, the modifications and variations of each asana are introduced step-by-step so that I can provide these to my friends or students in the future. In the fourth module, Pranayama, Mudra Bandha and Kriya Module, I learned different kinds of pranayama, mudra bandha and kriya which totally affect my daily life. For example, after learning the cleansing method-Jala Neti, I practice it everyday and it becomes one of my habits. I also introduced this cleansing method to my family members, and they found it works too. In the last module, Teaching Technique Module, I learned how to make a fluent sequence during a yoga class, techniques of posture adjustment and the skill of demonstration and explanation of posture. Since the qualifications of yoga master are excellent and the syllabus of yoga teacher training course are systematic, I will join other advanced teacher training courses in the furure.

The 200hrs Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda Teacher Training Certificate Course at Anahata Yoga was very informative. Having completed the 200 hrs Teacher Training in the Summer I wanted to pursue my yogic journey by understanding yoga therapies. The Ayurvedic chapter of the course was very interesting. I would have loved to learn more about diagnosis and simulate patient/practitioner scenarios: learning by practicing diagnosing students by identifying each others doshas and “prescribing” ayurvedic and yogic therapies. I felt that in some parts of the class during the oil massages, time was not distributed efficiently. There was only 1 “third –eye oil massage” station, which meant that only 1 team at a time could practice. The other teams were forced to repeat practicing body massages and it felt like this was used as a time-filler. I loved the chapter with Master Arun. I was impressed by not only his knowledge of life in general, but his sincerity. After 1 class he knew all the students by name. I think I would have learned even more if we had all had a chair to practice on, instead of only observing the teacher. The last class of Yoga Therapy with Master Yogesh was a repetition of the previous one. It felt that there was insufficient content to fill up the 200 hrs. Overall, to be honest, the experience did not really meet my expectation. I would have loved to learn the “remedies” for various diseases. I was expecting the class to be structured according to a more comprehensive set of therapies for common ailments like, diabetes, allergies, heart disease, obesity, sciatica... Instead the class was structure according to body structure, neck, shoulder, back, knee pains and injuries. There was, in my opinion, too little attention on common ailments. In general, the courses are focused a lot around the students ability to learn through listening and observing. I would encourage the teachings to re-shift the focus to learning by doing, and incorporating more practical exercises, such as role playing, partner exercises and including sufficient props for everyone (chairs, cushions, blankets….). The Saturday class is long to sit and listen for 4.5 hours, we needed more breaks and more active “moving” / interactive practices across all modules. The teachers and staff at Anahata are all super friendly and amazing. The school has a warm family feeling and a nice sense of community. As a professional Learning and Development Specialist I would be more than happy to help Anahata redesign their modules to make their course certificates even more dynamic/interactive and fun for students to learn. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me for ideas.

Though studying this 200-hours Yoga Teacher Training Certificate Course, which helped me to learn more philosophy and knowledge of yoga. It was a priceless and unforgettable experience to practice with all the great masters in Anahata. In a year since i wouldve been practicing yoga and it helped me when I needed it the most. It was working beyond a level, I have become not as angry and stressed out. I found balance in work, love and also in lifestyle. I also learn to have patience with drama and difficulties. I smile more and love more. It taught me to let go and to release tension. In practice I create opportunity to become more mindful and deliberate in life, the more I practice the more I begin to cultivate a sense of inner peace and to begin to see myself in loving way. I have really enjoyed participating in the course and have learned a great theory, history and alignment in yoga. And I am certainly going to enhance all the basics I absorbed and keep practicing for upcoming challenges!

The Advanced Hatha Yoga Teacher Training (AHYTT) was a thorough course about advanced Hatha yoga postures, injury prevention and proper adjustment techniques – knowledge which is essential to a good yoga teacher. It well complemented the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training also offered by Anahata Yoga. The faculty, Master Yogananth and Master Vijay, were both very thorough during the course, making sure that students give high regard to safety and proper execution of each asana. It was also a great experience to be able to teach advanced postures as it is there where each student would understand the human bodys strength, flexibility and physical limitations.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 200 hour teacher training. The course was comprehensive and well-paced; nothing was hurried or took too long. I particularly liked learning about the philosophy of yoga and pranayama, which I knew very little about. The asana and teaching module was extremely useful in that it has laid down the foundation for further self-improvement and practice. The group work was helpful, although taking turns to teach the class was terrifying at first, once this was overcome I began to enjoy it. Overall this was a wonderful and fulfilling learning experience and I feel that I have a more wholesome picture of what yoga is, beyond the asanas. I am very grateful to have been able to complete this course and learn from teachers who have so much wisdom to share.

I first tried yoga four yeas ago and I fell in love with it. The benefits I reaped from yoga were undeniable and I t complimented the benefits I get from dancing, even from running and cardio. Im professional dancer and a performer, and movement is something I can never imagine my life without. Although I admit that it will be difficult to maintain my flexibility or skills required for dancing, I can see myself doing yoga in the long run… and not just pragmatically Signing up for this Yoga Teacher Training has been a very important and memorable experience for me. The lessons that I have learned from the past three and a half months surpassed my expectations. All the teachers were very knowledgeable in their respective fields. I would especially like to commend Master Anurag for going beyond the basic outline of his module as he was able to deliver points in a very personal approach which struck and inspired me. We are forever students yoga in a life-long experiential journey. I do intend to teach, or rather share, what I have learned from the course as well as from my own realizations and learnings to other people. I realize now that by teaching it, and by passing on the fire to others, it will help fuel my own. Yoga is something I will keep for the rest of my life.

The training course, on the whole, was incredibly informative for the short eleven weeks in which we devoted ourselves to the teachers given to us. The layout of the course was professional , and our time in the classroom was respected. I felt the instructors were properly prepared for each class. I also found the support staff in the office to be incredibly helpful with any questions we had concerning the course, which is more important than many might realize. One of the most important aspects for me was the most of teachers seemed to respect the fact that the students came from a variety of backgrounds, with a vast array of purposed for taking the course. I never felt the instructors were trying to change our belief systems on the whole. While we were asked, on the spot, to reveal why we chose to take the teacher training course, I believe the answers given were probably too simplistic, and that most people in the room has more complex reasons than could be verbalized in a short ten second answer. With the being said, I believe most of the instructors respected us as distinctly different humer beings. In a specific exchange of words, a student mentioned her “journey” in yoga. She mentioned the physical practice, but said her spiritual understanding was the key to making it “work”. The instructor quickly said to her, even if she didnt get to the spiritual understanding , yoga still works! I loved this answer because I know many people who will not try yoga because they feel yoga is a spiritual discipline that conflicts with their own spiritual discipline. I hurt for those people because I have seen yoga heal me in so many ways, yet I remain faithful to my spiritual discipline. The answer given the student in our class, showed great respect for yoga and for the spiritual differences in the room. The answer given revealed the respect of the human being, understanding that yoga has benefits of amazing proportion-both mentally and physically-that should not be guarded or kept for those only wanting ti gravel a particular spiritual journey. My only suggestion would be to increase the amount of practice of asanas in the Asana Module. The first few sessions of this module were a bit slow considering the amount of time we devoted to understanding of theory and anatomy in the first two modules. This is not to suggest adding time to the module, but to use that module for strictly practicing. I think that module could be easily devoted to the ten or twelve main asanas, but treating each session as intense yoga classes. The most practical aspect of my learning experience is the understanding of clearly articulating any posture of breathing exercise (although I feel I should have more training before I endeavor to teach a class). I found this communication difficult to do once given the chance in front of the class, but I realized the importance of communicating every aspect of muscle or breath or movement. I now understand that too many words can be used, and too few words can be used. I learned that power of the communicative word to change a students position without speaking the students name. I believe I should be able to teach yoga to blind person just as easily as to a sighted person, as long as I am using clear communication. I also fell I have a greater understanding of Hatha Yoga as distinct from other types of yoga practice. The kriya session was one that I thought would be least helpful, but I find that I now practice almost all of them several times per week. This was a pleasant surprise. I greatly appreciated learning the health benefits of each an devery asana, mudra, kriya, prananyama, and bandhas. I would liked to have a bit more asana practice during the anatomy module because I feel the practice would have solidified the understanding. Vishnu is such a lovely teacher, and I think this would have been easy for him, as well as enjoyable for the class.

I started the Teacher Training Program not to become a Yoga Teacher, But to have more knowledge about Yoga. Indeed, we all start yoga by going to a studio an dattedning group classes. Even though they help to develop body flexibility and strength, little is said about the postures benefits, the history of yoga, the philosophy etc… After reading a few books and the advices of my teachers, I found that I needed to practice with more awareness, otherwise I wouldnt be able to go further on my practice. For example, I have never been interested in learning some postures until I discovered the benefit they could bring to my body and mind. In other words, to find the motivation and strength to continue my practice, I felt I needed more information, more knowledge, so as to set a clear direction, clear goals concerning my yoga practice. But the yoga Teacher Training program exceeded my expectations, in the sense that not only it allowed me to set clear goals for my practice, at least in the short run, but Ive also been taught some very important life lessons: acceptance & ego surrendering. It is not something written explicitly in the course material, but all the additional stories shared by the teachers and the interactions with the other students made me finally understood these concepts, and I think this clearly changed my way of thinking. Concerning the program itself, the anatomy module was the most difficult for me, in spite of Master Vishnu detailed explanations, and I will probably need some more time and readings to have a better understanding of the human body. I also realized that yoga philosophy and history were much more complex that I have imagined, even though Master Anurag simplified thins a lot for us, and this will also require additional self study. The other modules were a bit more easier because of their practical side. Master Yogananth & master Yogesh made Asana, Ptanayama & Kriyas practice lively and very interesting. I also think the short presentations we had to prepare were also very helpful, as they required us to challenge a bit our understanding. I mean most of the time you realize that you have understood or not something when you have to explain it to other persons in very simple terms. My only suggestion will be to have more of these small exercises. Finally, I can say that although the YTT was quite an investment and commitment, it made me reflect on myself, realize the areas of improvements and set up clear goals for the future. Now Im definitely sure that yoga goes beyond asana practice, and I am trying to incorporate progressively its principles in my daily life and sharethem with people showing interest. Thank you so much for guiding me through this stage of my yoga journey. May others guide you the same way as well. Namaste

I am pleased with the YTT course conducted by Anahata yoga in general. The teaching team is excellent and I especially enjoyed Master Yogananth and Master Anrugs classes. All teachers and staff are friendly and helpful (and fun!) The yoga community that enables graduates to join and gain teaching experiences is also a good additional value to the course. On the other hand, I expected a bit more interactive activities in the classes. I do enjoy the teaching demonstrations by students and it would be useful for students to experience more on the teaching side of things. There are also some typos in the learning materials so a proper proof-read would be suggested. In sum, this is one of the most interesting courses i have taken in recent years and I would certainly recommend Anahata Yoga to other yoga students to be. I sincerely thank all of those who took part and made it happen.

I always love dancing and body movements. I was attracted to yoga because I found th practice of asana a good training to body flexibility, strength and balance. I wanted to know more about yoga and would like to share the joy and benefits of yoga practice with others; therefore I took the YTT course. After taking the course, I realized that asana was just part of the yoga practice. Master yogananth stressed the importance of othe aspects of yoga practice to make the yoga experience complete. I was interested in the human anatomy and learned a lot about the human body in the Anatomy Module taught by Master Vishnu. Inspired by Master Anurags philosophy class, I would like to read more about it. Meditation and Yoga Nidra were taught in details, which could hardly be done in regular classes. I really like it. Master Yogesh created a comfortable and fun learning environment for the class in the Asana Module! I enjoyed it a lot and learned so many different approaches, varaitions and modifications of different basic postures. Most importantly, the correct alignment were taught. They enable safer and more effective practice. The adjustment techniques taught were very practical and useful in teaching as well. I really liked the pranayama practice taught by Master Yogananth , Felling energized and rejuvenated. I could practically understand the difference between physical exercise and yoga practice. After yoga practice, one gets more energy because prananyama is incorporate in the asana practice. The kriya practice was an unforgettable experience. It was kind of scary but I was glad that I did ti pretty well. I did that at home again as part of the yoga practice. The Teaching Technique Module was fun! Dividing into groups, planning a sequence, each of preparing 2-3 asanas, and experiencing teaching and making adjustments to the rest of the class. It was a good teaching practice and experience of how it would be like preparing and teaching a class. We got more familiar with each other and even became friends! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Masters for their teachings and the wonderful experience brought to us. Namaste

Good points interesting topics given a good first introduction into this very complex topic nice to have different teachers during the various models good balance between theory and practical exercises authentic way of teaching and couching 30h self practice Points to improve the classes were too long, especially sitting on the floor and having to listen for 3.5h straight the practical part could be more sporty and challenging

Feedback and leaning experience about this Teacher training program I found the teachers in Anahata are very professional and they teach us in a lively way. Above all, they do teach us from the heart. I am truly appreciated them. I remembered that there are several times we come up with some questions after the class (it was 9:30PM already!); however they still explain to us patiently and they are willing to share their personal experience with us. Apart from that, I am glad to know they have some volunteer programs that allow us to share our yoga knowledge and experience with the community; it also provides us an opportunity to gain some practical experience that I found it is hardly to understand through the book. I do really hope that I can bring the yoga experience to as many people as possible. I remembered 2 years ago, I just started practice yoga seriously but somehow I already wanted to do the Teacher training program. However I didnt do that as I found it is too early to think about the TTC or may be I am not ready. Two years later, I made the decision, as I want to know more about what yoga is. I found this part-time course is more challenging than I expected. It is a physical and mind challenge. As we have to sit for the evening class twice a week but also I have attended their Andiappan class twice a week, although it is optional. To me every Tuesday is the start of the challenging week…Although it is challenging, I enjoyed the training a lot, Through this training, I found I have gained some knowledge which previously I may have neglected or I may just donot understand the importance of it such as anatomy and why some posture is not suitable for some people. But at the same time I feel that I still have lots of things I donot know and I still need to learn; to experience; and to explore…this course allows me to understand more about my physical body / limitation, myself and what is Yoga! To me yoga is more than just an asana practice; it is a spiritual practice and is lifetime practice! I would like to take this chance to thank you the teachers for their teaching, sharing and patience! Thank you very much! Namaste!

Positive feedback and learning experience: I very much enjoyed the Yoga anatomy model with Master Vishnu. He was able to teach us a great deal about the anatomy of the body linked to yoga postures. I have received hands-on advice on postures, which is will use in my personal life as well as future teaching. The asana model was very in-depth and I have made a huge progress in these postures. I enjoyed the personal guidance and attention during this module. Improvement / suggestions: The handouts could be more structured and presented in a more organized manner. It is not very handy to use the handouts as future reference guides. For the duration of which the course is running and the price of the course, better and more detailed course material would have been expected.

The training transformed my practice on a deep level. I learnt many new technics to approach advanced poses that I would never imagine of doing. I love the fact that many warm up technics and different ways of approaching a pose are taught in class. The training is a challenging one but it opens up my mind and let me experience what yoga really is. I enjoyed the training very much. Last but not least, I am grateful for Master Yogananths patience and dedications in his teaching and for Master Vijays skillful adjustments which helped me to experienc a pose deeper.
